Detroit's Jewish History

The presentation begins in the 1760s with the arrival of the first Jewish settlers in Detroit and follows the movement of the community, up to the 1950s. Using slides and film, the narration includes explorations of the obstacles and opportunities the Jewish community faced and mounted, why they came to the area and where they settled. Co-sponsored by the Greater West Bloomfield Historical Society.
