Size in the Universe

On July 20, 1969, American astronauts Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin became the first humans to land on the moon. Join Ken Bertin, a NASA Solar System ambassador, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. He'll discuss the challenges of space travel to the moon and beyond, and explain how the staggering size and distance of the universe presents unique difficulties for those seeking to leave Earth. Tuesday, July 16, at 7 PM, in the Main Library Meeting Room. No registration required.
