How Do I?

The West Bloomfield Storybook Trail is an outdoor walkable picture book activity. Families are encouraged to take a walk and engage with the story throughout the time on the trail. The Storybook Trail promotes early literacy, a love of nature, and a healthy lifestyle. Each page includes suggested activities to keep children engaged between pages. Visit the trail regularly to enjoy a new story!

This project is a partnership between The West Bloomfield Public Library and West Bloomfield Parks and Recreation.

Location & Length

The Storybook Trail is located within the trail that runs behind the civic center complex. It begins behind the Youth Terrace of the West Bloomfield Public Library. The Civic Center Trails are unpaved nature trails with hills and uneven terrain. The walk ends at the sledding hill with an uphill climb. The length is 0.4 miles. While walking on the trail, please stay on the main path as there is poison ivy further back on the sides of the path.
