Summer Reading

Color Our World by reading with this year’s Summer Reading Program! Track your time spent reading to earn rewards. Your whole family is invited to participate. Pre-registration begins May 24, 2025. Enroll on the Beanstack app or website.

Summer Reading is open to all residents and students with a West Bloomfield Library card and their families. This includes residents of West Bloomfield, Keego Harbor, Sylvan Lake, and Orchard Lake and students of West Bloomfield School District, Walnut Creek Middle School, and Lone Pine, Pleasant Lake, and Keith Elementary Schools.

Rewards

Log time spent reading to meet reading goals for your age group! Plus, earn bonus rewards just for registering and completing activities. Each participant earns a free tote bag just for enrolling in this year’s program!

Reading Goals: Participants under age 18 can earn a book to keep from the library’s Book Fair for each reading goal they meet–that means up to 5 books! Plus, earn a pass to Lily Pad Springs for meeting the halfway reading goal. Complete all reading goals and challenges to earn a water bottle reward. Adult participants earn a sticker at the halfway point and a $5 Friendshop Gift Certificate for completing the challenge.

Digital Tickets: Earn 5 digital tickets for each reading goal you meet and 1 digital ticket for each Activity you complete! Submit your digital tickets toward themed basket drawings on Beanstack. Different baskets are available for each age group. Watch a tutorial below to see how to submit your digital tickets.
